St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, based in Birmingham, trialled a short series of extra-curricular writing clubs to motivate and support targeted children.

With a commitment to fun and adopting a playful approach to writing, these Writing Clubs succeeded in motivating underperforming pupils and gave keen writers a new outlet for their talents.
