Pupils at Macaulay Church of England Primary School in Lambeth love to WRITE.
Everybody Writes Day
Everybody Writes Day is an annual celebration of writing in schools. Primary and secondary schools collapse the curriculum for one whole day to celebrate writing in all its forms. Every pupil and staff member gets to enjoy writing – including catering staff, site managers and parent volunteers. Schools may choose to run one big writing event to engage all pupils, or opt for a series of playful and engaging writing activities.
Everybody Writes Day was on Friday 16th October 2009, but you could plan to hold your own Everybody Writes Day at another time of year, perhaps coinciding with an Arts Week or Summer Fair.
